There are a lot of coffee shops in Chicago, but some are better than others, especially when you’re looking for a place to actually sit down and get work done. A place that stands out to me is when the coffee is good, there’s enough seating, a calm environment, and a location that doesn’t feel too crowded or rushed. Places like this are helpful for students, remote workers/nomads, or anyone who just wants a change of scenery.
I love a good hidden coffee spot, because it feels more local and less obvious than the mainstream shops. They are also a way to help find different neighborhoods, because it gives people a reason to explore other parts of the city outside of the usual or common areas.
